now that all this time has gone by. i think i might be changing the build a little
Ive seen some sweet ass bolt to 16v head ITBs. come from Europe maybe? They are cnc'd and are ready for fuel, vacuum, and the sensors..
Or theres always the LOG but it would make me want turbo..
any ideas for a intake set up for mega squirt?

there are a few direct bolt-on ITB setups out there, but they average 1500-2000, big money. Badger 5 ITB are the shit, but I am not going to pay that much for them. I sourced my ITBs on ebay for $75.00 and they are off a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 750. If you are looking for MC ITBs, you want to make sure that they are individual TBs, and not two pairs of two, as they are harder to line up to the intake ports. Take a set of those, a slightly modified 16V intake mani, some rubber couplers from the home depot, and you are off!!

We did end up with a set a itbs the kev got off vortex, we cun the mani and so on (see pics earlier in thread).
I am sure it would work but the whole process is kinda a pain. The location of the dipstick sucks and the other crank breather or whatever it is. Did i hear that alot of guys pick up those breathers from newer 16v passats(lower profile). Then it would seem after air filter that it would be too close to radiator.
Id love to find a setup that was engineered for a 16v..
