thanks yes the mk5 has grown on me , i liked the mk4 so much more when they first arrived .. after almost a year i now really like mine , however the 1.8 t was so much better on gas mileage .. :banghead:

also just in case you are interested i am bringing my car to SLC to Street Toys inc where they will use my downpipe to mold a new one , better , more flow and less restriction..
the guys there are also awesome with turbos i have seen and rode in some of their car with upgraded turbo and it was crazy  so i might have them work on mine while they work on the downpipe .. i will let you know the result in a couple of month.

my MK4 and MK5 were about the same on highway mileage - 30 mpg. How much is the downpipe costing you to have it made? I can't imagine them being much cheaper than the roughly $350-$400 for the DP with a test pipe via the retail channels. I still think it's highway robery charging that much for a bent tube and flange. I'll be getting a DP after I get my suspension set up the way I want.

You have an ECU flash yet? If not, I'd get that before the DP. DP may add 25 hp, but the ECU flash will net you about 50 hp and 80 ft/lb. Revo was my choice, and Rennwagen1 (Aeron) can hook you up with that.

[yes i have my ecu done , the same guys in SLC , it is the APR and i like it but i can't compare to others because i haven't used any other one before ..
well as far as the DP is concern i think since i let him have my car for a couple weeks so he can develop his DP it shouldn't be too much .. we will see .. i am just excited about them playing with my turbo .. those guys are really talented .. they do all the work for Kerma TDI for turbos and fabrication ..
