Yep, Star is Japanese, our one barloader is Italian, 4 of them are American and our latest one is German (stick to the italian (Iemca,) or German (FMB,) barloaders if you're looking to run unattended without a bad feed 2 minutes after you leave.) Also, if your boss gets a machine, make sure he doesn't expect to read the manual to set it up or figure out how to run it, the manuals are sad. It's pretty bad when you spend a couple hundred grand on a machine, and the company can't afford to spend a little bit on a translator for their manual who actually knows english...lol.

Like I said, I'll take any help I can get getting this motor back in, and if you have any questions at all on CNC's, I'll do my best to answer them, and I assume if you're looking at making gun parts, you're looking at a Swiss type? Or are you looking more at a milling machine or machining station? Swiss types are mostly just for parts turned from a bar, they can do milling and drilling, but if you're looking at building recievers, you'd want more of just a CNC mill.

A new question regarding this build, does anyone know where I can find a non-A/C alternator bracket for a 1.6? I don't want to put the A/C compressor back on, so it requires a completely different bracket for the alternator. Thanks in advance.

Oohhh, good luck on that one. You might get lucky if it uses the same bracket as the 1.8 valvers, but I couldn't tell you where to come up with that one........

Yeah, I've checked with several of the online places that specialize in diesels, and everyone of them has told me to just reinstall the A/C compressor and use it as an idler pulley. I may either do that, or pull the bracket off that ugly brown rabbit that I have, and then worry about a bracket for it when it comes time to rebuild it. Thanks.

Hey Checkers,
How much would you be willing to sell that for, and if the price is right, any possibility of getting it into the mail on Friday so I can have it Saturday?

I believe I have the wrong one. The injection pump is where the alt usually is on a 1.6, correct?

I'm not sure where the alternator normally is, but in this engine, my injection pump is right next to the head, then, (looking at it from the "front" of the motor, clockwise,) comes the a/c pump, then at the bottom is the alternator. On my non-A/C car, the alternator is where the a/c pump is.
