the interior isnt finished, have to source a dash pad as you see it isnt there, were definately pretty happy with the outcome, Matt sprayed a nice flat paint job on her. few more things like installing the 5 point harnesses and plating the trunkwall off in steel (NHRA rulebook shit) but fire safety none the less. more pics will come, just have to get the car back to bozeman.

well, despite our hopes to pull the wheels off the ground, it seems there is too much carburator on the engine, she started out bogging heavy out of the lights then running like a raped ape, even with the terrible bog, she was still putting down 14.8 which isnt great but decent. we kept tuning after each pass and finally got it down to a better 12.8 @ 109mph. still couldnt get it to explode out of the lights like it should. so we dropped the pressure in the slicks to about 12 PSI tuned the carb and adjusted all the valves nice and tight for the first race on sunday. got out and did a great burnout, the slick hooked real hard on the rollout of the burn box, got to the line and she jumped out of the lights like a raped ape i grabbed second and the clutch blew. so well go back in a month and see what better we can do!

heres the best run of the day, our very own IBGOLFIN behind the wheel (Matt) who beat my time by a full tenth!

Well shaving two seconds off the time just by tuning on a pass-by-pass basis isn't exactly horrible haha. Thing sounds great! Stupid clutch. A sub-13 second car on it's first race day is pretty beast though.

yeah, we werent to beat up about it, there is another second just in the carburator, plus we were only running 1.9 60 foot times, and hell, ive seen jettas that can do that :) a 1.1 should be about right, there is a low 11.** high 10.** in her!

Oh hell yeah, easily. I've seen A4's run 2.1-2.2 60 foot times on stock boost and stock clutch. You need to step it up! :P

oh we beat its guts, the previous owner told us that he put a 3 disk Zoom clutch in there, and it definately had a stiff pedal, i would say a good 35 pounds pushing force. but we took it all apart last night, and it has an OEM remanufactured pressure plate, and stock disk, now with wrinkled steel where the grip pads once were :) were going with a Clutch-net dual friction setup now, should be on the way to us soon!

well, the long-run plan is to put in an automatic, complete with a trans-brake a new clutch should get us racing again on July 10th, i should say that if anyone wants to come watch the races in lewistown the July 10-11th races is the one to be at, the biggest turn-out of the year, and there will be Jet-cars, which if never experienced in person are an incredible sight. last weekend one went 5.90 @ 245 MPH!
