yeah, it could very well be my DV since I did have the motor out this summer and all that nonsense. That things a PITA to get to as well. haha. I'm almost certain that I have a bad vacuum line somewhere, or a broken check valve or something. But like you said... it's finding which one that's the issue. lol

So at the moment I'm in communication with Laszlo from 034 to get ideas on a strong setup. He recently posted up a 2.0 stroker with a GT2871 that put down 359.1 WHP, 339.3 WTQ at ~24.4 PSI and 331.1 WHP with 293.2 WTQ at ~19.8 PSI on pump gas.

sounds like plenty :) you could get there with the 1.8, youd need some bottom end hardware. i know of a stock 2.0 16v making over 400 at around 24 PSI granted thats SDS EFI, buts its stock bottom end stock head, double stacked head gaskets. and hes over 10,000 miles that way, pretty remarkable IMO

The idea that Laszlo and I are chatting about will involve a bit of a longer stroke :) Right now I'm just talkin' with him about prices on hardware and ideas for what would make it all come together nicely. It's all a long ways off before becoming reality, but I'm still excited. :)

Getting excited is what it's all about!
Gotta plan and save to get that excitement to reality!
I can't even wait to roll my rabbit out of the garage for YNP!!!

I can't wait to see your rabbit! If I play my cards right, I'll be slowing collecting parts and get the motor and head work done all at once. (I have a spare motor I'll be using) It's gonna be sweet!
