Well if it's not a hose or coupler it could be one of the ends on one of your SMIC's. IIRC they are plastic mated to aluminum and tend to leak or crack over time.
You will love the Podi gauge! It's actually really handy when it comes time to diagnose boost issues.

i have the AWE SMIC's now and i still get the noise...i called up 034 motorsport(awesome ppl) and they thought maybe N75 valve because of the surging and from what i described to them. possible problem with the valve regulating boost since their DV's are good up to 50 PSI. so it will be here tommorow and we'll see what happens.

we wont have to...it sounds like a leak or something but its not as bad now that i put in that new n75. and the surging is gone. it only makes the noise now when full boost is achieved and then goes away, note that there is no loss in power when this happens. not sure what it is but it doesnt throw codes and is not affecting performance much. just REALLY ANNOYING. anyways, let me know when that podi order goes in, i cant wait for a nice gauge..lol

id take the header wrap off... it's stopping the pipes from acting as a heat sink and cooling the air more.
