Well, two options: drive it like Ben said, or pull it back apart. I'm one of those guys that would pull it back apart. But I'd probably get a leak down test first, and/or listen for air coming out of said valve. Narrow the issue down and go from there.

It could be a valve, but there's a reason it's not closing...carbon build up, or bad/damaged seat or valve, or cam lobe. And if it's not a valve, it's the cylinder, and that's essentially a rebuild.

Was is missing before you did the chains? Is it maybe possible you timing chains are off?

It was missing before I tore it down. Bad move on my part by not figuring that out before the chains. Chain timing is correct. I rechecked everything before I sealed it up. Put a small amount of seafoam in cylinder at lunch, but it did not seem to make a difference. I will have to do some research on the leakdown test, as I havent done this before. I am hoping it isnt the cylinder. I am contemplating just searching for a low mile mk4 vr6 engine.
