I mean, how can you deny the hotness???

The Corrado is the milkshake that brought this boy to the VW yard.

Little update from this weekend - With some help from Wade and Randy, picked up my new project car: 1992 Montana Green GTI.

I remember seeing this car on the '07 Beartooth Cruise...yep almost 10 years ago. It's been in Randy's shop for a few years and I was lucky and honored to be able to pick it up from him. I get the opportunity to resurrect this beast, get this back on the road, and throw in an R32 motor:

More pictures to come as I begin to get it put together and make progress on the swap.

Thanks gents!

Yeah so I have been putting together a laundry list of items I need, including a transmission to bolt to the VR6. Leifro, you have some items for sale? I may need to drive out and pick up some stuff.

Made some progress tonight.

Wade helped me pull the interior - it was wet and soggy. I found a bunch of change and was able to get it cleaned up pretty well. Wade also had this degreaser/enviro killer that he brought over to sanitize and defunk the carpets. I didn't get a picture, but all the carpets got sprayed and hot water pressure washed and are now hanging out to dry on my front deck.

Also sprayed the inside floors and just did a basic vac and cleanup:

Dash needs to be put back together. I think I have it all:

Cleaned up and sprayed the trim down with some conditioner. Note the BSVW and '07 Beartooth Cruise stickers

Set the front grill on just to see how it's going to look after I'm done getting it cleaned up:

16v that Randy wants to get back. Tried to talk him out of it but failed :( so it will go back to him after I get the swap done...
