it should be digifant, unless its a 16v, then it will have CIS-E stock.

Score! I saw that car a few years ago at the first Beartooth run and it was modded pretty well. It ran ok, but he didn't go on the cruise because the guy didn't think it would make it without some trouble or something like that. It's a nice ride, I'm jealous, and I'm sure you will reverse all the hacks

Montana Green FTW.

It is a 16 Valve. I was looking at pictures and the injection looks correct. Autotech's site said this should be a motronic car. What is the difference between motronic and good old CIS. I guess I will have to do some research. I haven't ever checked out 16 Valves before and now I suddenly have 2 of them.
How is the TT exhaust. I was looking at getting their sytem with the dynomax muffler, it seems to be the best bang for the buck from German Auto Parts.

I am starting to think that car came from Bozeman. Is the shift lever really short?
Motronic = fuel and ignition control in one box. On those cars its a CIS-E system with a motronic ECU.
On the Mk2 GTi front, a friend of mine if GF recently sold his red 16V GTi. I think it is in really nice condition and he let it go for a steal, anybody know who has it now?
TT exhaust is sweet.

Yes, the shifter is waaaay too short. It likes to bite fingers between the shifter and the console. It came to Billings in about 07, but before that I have no idea.

Joe rules, he knows everyone! That's probably about the year I spotted it here in town.
BTW, your computer is fixed and it's coming back to you tonight.

that looks to be a very early swap, maybe one of the first (Daring at the time) 16v into an A-1 chassis (sans mk2 rocco which is technically mk1)
