Not much progress here, New wideband sensor on the way, new plug wires made and installed, new injector o-rings installed and fuel rail in place. need booster brackets still, had some side work fall through, so couldnt buy the new gas tank from Bartek yet, also need tank straps so damn close, want to drive her a bit before the snow!

any good words on this?

got all new fuel lines, the tank from Tek, straps, fuel pump, filter, oil pressure line, all ready to go, will have the axles tuesday.

HOWEVER!!!!!!! a bolt broke off in the turbo, and was able to get it out, but the threads were shot. re tapped them,
bolted back on threads pulled out, now i filled the hole with weld, ground it smooth, and i can find NOTHING to drill it again, my bits wont even scratch it! so im welding a stud on that hole and screwing in the other 3. big ass head ache.

now the car will use a waste-gate dump tube instead of recirculated, tired of fuckin with it!
should run very soon, within days. update then

I feel your pain. I had a bolt snap off when I did the turbo on my MKIV.

Someone cross threaded a bolt into mine too. It's sticking out bout 1/4". Doesn't leak though

Axles came in tonight, finished a laundry list of crap yesterday, enough to hit the key, and it would try to start but wouldnt catch, gave a little throttle, and it fired on one cylinder. so i keyed back the timing in the SDS (new magnets) and she picked up on all four, however, the vacuum line to the FPR was seeping a little fuel so pulled it off, and pow! 5 foot stream of gas shot out the reference port. ordered a new one, so tomorrow i should be able to pull it out of the garage under its own power! well see!
