It seems to be rust flakes. Ever since I swapped this engine in my coolant has looked like mud. What I should have done is flushed the engine out before I put it in. I think it infected my whole coolant system. But it was before I knew anything about cars.

Every new project I feel like I don't know anything about cars. Every project I've seen or done before, I think I'm a genius.

Picked up my rear prop valve from Kevin in bozo this weekend so I now have everything to delete my abs I think... I might need a flare tool for the hard lines now that I think about it.

Snagged a front skin from Benno in butte on my way back. Fit on a vr lip. I had to notch the corner tabs on the lip to fit the tighter bends of the NA bumper. Then I trimmed 10 mm off the bottom of the bumper to get it to snap into place. Pretty easy in all.

My plan is to shave the side vents on it so I made a template to cut out of another bumper. Never done any body work so if any one has any advice to chip in here it would be much welcomed. I read that you shouldn't use bondo on a bumper because it flexes to much and will crack it. Anyone know what I should use?

Also ordered some abt side skirt reps. Gotta love tax season.

By side vents, do you mean the holes under the turn signal/fog light area? If so, I would suggest using some wire mesh and an old soldering iron to melt it into the plastic on the bumper and the new plastic bits, kind of like what I did for my grill that I fixed.

For filling the gap, I used sandable and paintable epoxy, but not sure how well that would work on a bumper.

That's a good idea. And yes the holes under the turns/fog lights. I can't find any plastic big enough to fit the holes. Any suggestions on that? I was thinking some plexiglass. Any thoughts on that?

Abt rep textured side skirts installed today. I'm pretty happy with the turn out.

your best bet would be go get a donor bumper, and cut the parts out of that. probably wouldn't turn out too well if you start mixing plastics. fiberglass wouldn't have the same flexibility as the ABS plastic the bumpers made out of and might lead to paint cracking

I got a lot of little things done on the VR today. Oil change with Mobil one synthetic 0w-40, rain x wiper blades... side note the orange rain x fluid is rad! review mirror fell off a few months ago so I finally got that reattached, had a valve stem replaced on the salad shooters that had a slow leak, got my windows retinted (it had tinny scratches that had been bugging me for years!!), and a few other thing I can't think of right now. Oh finally got this installed Image
+5hp?? And just in time to be reppin bse at Leavenworth!!!
