:nod: :mrgreen: yup maiden voyage was today, and she was no titanic.... took it out past vw on the frontage and ran er through the gears then stopped cleaned it up a lil then home. felt great to get it under its own power but quite a few little quirks to figure out yet, thanks for staying posted all, good to see ya stop by joe, wade, and the stones as well. stay tuned more to come! :puke:

well not to much goin on as you see, installed the NEW shift rod today and it does not like finding first gear, third is the first gear it find, and cant seem to adjust it to work right, im thinkin of throwing a missing linkz kit on there, they got great reviews, does anyone here have any experience with them? renn?

I have never even heard of them. It sound like you need the 5 sp MK2 linkage, but I could be wrong.

that would make sense since i have a mk2 020 2Y tranny in there :p

here is a link to the missin Linkz kit, its fully tunable, a PITA to get right but when its on its on! remove that lovable mk1 shifter slop! i hope
