Exhaust is all done. I removed the manifold, down pipe, and all associated gaskets. The outlet on the manifold was noticeably smaller than the gasket. The inlet on the turbo was the same as the gasket. So i matched and did some porting and polishing on that sided. On the inlet side of the manifold, I just smoothed out all rough spots, leveled out some hi spots and polished as far in as I could reach. Then I painted the manifold. The exhaust got all new gaskets and hardware. It wen back together pretty well, the bolts between the turbo and manifold were kind of a pain to line up. I ended up just buying a stock diverter valve locally and putting it in. Also cleaned the rear O2 sensor connection, it was getting an intermittent signal code. Got every thing back together and went for a drive. At first i really didn't feel much of a power difference, but it was idling smooth, accelerating smooth, and no longer falling flat on its face coming out of first. After around 50 miles of driving power started picking up(not sure if the ECU was still running it like the diverter was bad and the exhaust leaking and it took a bit to figure stuff out) It pulls really nice now. Most of the power feels like it was gained between 2000-5500 rpm. The TT DP is a little louder than the stock DP. Then I got a CEL :banghead: I've made an appointment with Dr. Trevor to scan it today. We'll see what this thing wants now.

I got these codes off of it. seems to run pretty good but I hate CELs. So I want to fix it. Any one have any info on these? Also i have a rattle coming from the passenger side rear end that sounds like rocks in a tin can when you hit bumps, any info on that out there?

Did more work to the Passat. Finally got a couple hours to work on it. I replaced the little check valve with the extra port on the side(only one I hadn't done). The check valve part of it still worked but the plastic had deteriorated and was leaking on one side. I found a hose clamp loose on the TIP(one of the small lines going into it. Did another leak test, found leaks at the PCV valve(clamps no longer clamping, replaced with hose clamps), and at a plastic tube running across the fire wall(part of the evap system, bracket rubbed a hole in it, cut at the hole, placed fuel line over it and clamps on fuel line). going for a test drive in a minute. The ssat also has an appointment at Import Group to get some recalls done(ignition coil packs, fuel pump, fuel lines, and something else I think can't remember).

Oh. I also replaced the accessory belts and tensioners(bearings were making noises). Test drive went ok. Running a little better. It runs rough(not as rough) but it runs rough consisantly(no more looping at idle, for now).

The recall was done. Just the ignition coils and a sensor for the brake system. Gas mileage is up, power is up, running smoother(still a little rough when engine cold). getting there.

Now the front end is starting to creak and clunk. This car is a piece of shit. One thing after another. The Scirocco was a better car. didnt have to work on it every weekend.
