Ever tried the old garbage bag trick? You take a black trash bag and tape it pretty taught in the window/door/etc. and then you heat it up with a heatgun/hair dryer, it shrinks up and presto! Tight sealed door openings! And it uses much less tape.

i got brave today and pulled my crack free windshield. thankfully it stayed that way, and didn't destroy the seal  on a side note pulling windshields is over rated, did it by my self it 5 min. i was also very happy when i didnt find rust in the channel  i  my rust free rocco

Yes, an older rubber set window. Anthing other than that and you need a professional, trust me. I could go on for hours on this, but in the end it is all about your safety.

Have you figured out how to put it back in?

i put a windshield in my old poop brown 79 rabbit, witch also had the press in seal, so this one shouldnt be that hard.

i also got brave again and pulled the glass out of the hatch, same deal as the windshield except it was a little harder. got the hatch taped off, sanded and primed. been workin real hard on the passenger rear quarter, all sorts of funky waves but i got about 90% of it sorted. hope to have it in paint sometime next week.

thinking this color, Ancona Metallic

or Atlas Grey Metallic (best pic i could find)
