IMO,
Sorry, dude. Wings are out unless they are OEM. I think visually Euro cars should remain subtle in styling. It's what separates VW/Audi from a Honda/Acura.

I blacked out my front VW emblem over the weekend. Now it matches the grill instead of a glaring chrome globe of dubliness. I'll be de-accenting the interior accent strips (currently gray/white hash pattern) to match the black magic pearl body paint and I'll toss in the rear VW emblem as well.
Operation "once you go black" has been set into motion.

I washed the GTI today in the driveway since it was sunny out. Water froze to the concrete for a while making it a little interesting. It's clean though! I had to get it washed to show off the tinted tail lights that Aeron did for me. Next is blacking out the front lights since it will complete the darkness that is my GTI. With the HIDs and the tint not being that dark, there shouldn't be any tickets since noone will notice at night. Besides, Aeron gave it that OEM look for those with untrained VW eyes, which is most of MT.
I also finally washed the clutch pedal. It look like a lump of dog nugget instead of aluminum and I never bothered to clean the pedals since I got it in August.
