Billings sprayed that liquid salt crap the other day. It greases up your windows yet alone your wheels. And I know that the spray wreaks havoc on stuff. So that's what made up my mind about swapping wheels.

Put two rubber plugs in underbody holes in the Golf today. That's after I put two OEM plugs in underbody holes. I ordered four of them but only two holes were that size. Running out of time before it stays snowy for a while, I decided to go to the hardware store & get some 3/4" rubber stoppers as a temp. fix until I find the correct p/n for the OEM plugs. I glued them in with 3M weatherstrip adhesive.

About 3/4 of my Golf's underbody plugs were missing when I first noticed it about a month ago. Now I have everything plugged, I hope.

These holes are punched in the steel at the factory - they're supposed to be there, but they're supposed to be plugged.

The battery crapped out in my sisters Beetle. -8 degrees and what do I do. Drop the stupid hold down bar. Took forever to first find the nook it fell into then to fish it out. Never found the bolt. All I can say is burrrrrrrrrrrrr. Price for the battery $99.97 freezing my butt off and now drinking hot chocolate. Priceless.

Ok so I've been having trouble with the starter engaging in my Passat. Lately I have had to push pretty hard on the pedal to activate the clutch switch 3B1 911 807A. Seems that no one in Billings is able to order one. :(

I would have thought that jumping the two wires would have worked also but no go. Which makes me think that the switch mat not be the issue. But it's the only thing the pedal touches when pushed down. I ordered one from German Auto Parts. I guess when I get the new one and it doesn't work I'll start looking at other options.
