my switch went bad in my Passat. I jumped them too with no luck. there is a resister in the switch in its self to prevent you from jumping it or elimiating the switch its self. so the possibility is still there. I got mims thought the VW here in GF. they are a pain to get out an put back in.

It took me about 10 minutes to pull. I didn't think it was to bad.

maybe if you took the switch apart you could fix it or just make so it has constant contact

the hard part on mine was getting the adjustment right. yours might not have that. best of luck tho an hope that's the only problem!

Broke my grill in my jetta I assume it happened when I popped my hood at the gas station when it was frozen last weekend.

Replaced the clutch pedal switch in the Passat today. Guess what? It still doesn't turn over. The battery is good and I disconnected it for about ten minutes just to see if that worked. Yep nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

take a jumper wire from the battery to the starter and see if it cranks. If it does then it may be your ignition switch or some circuitry between there and the starter. Also, I know in my mk4 the starter won't turn unless the battery itself shows over 15V
