02 and 1.8t.. I would do a vagcom scan 1st. gotta be something related to the pedal.

Thanks guys. I'll check the battery again tomorrow. It's been sitting for a little over a week so volts could be a little low.

I'm still putting money on it being the starter. Scan may reveal something... my schedule is full until after Christmas. Or maybe we can meet up tomorrow sometime and I can lend it to you.

Not sure about the starter. I've never had a starter just not do anything. I don't even get a click when I turn the key.

Pulled the starter and had it checked. You guessed it, nothing wrong with it. Now to warm up and put it back in.

Well, I also did the same with the starter I had go bad, and guess what, it tested good as well. I had to almost demand a new one before they would do it. Dunno, your results may vary.
There's also a relay in the ecu box, or at least there is one in the A4. I bypassed it when I did my swap and I don't have to push the pedal is to start my car. I can get that info for you too.
