Ski sock delete is for a cooler pass through

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

Re: My MK2 Jetta daily driver project.
Found a BMW airflow sensor for the Jetta. The width of the opening is the same but it is about 1/2" taller. All in all it looks like a bigger version of the VW one. I will have to mod the air box to make it fit but it will work. Will be really putting time into the body work since I'm pretty settled into the new place. Hope to have her painted by end of August/beginning of September.

Doors are off and disassembled, all the glass is out, started fixing up fender flares. Full steam ahead with body work.

Will you have to recalibrate the ECU somehow for that?Mrbubblehead wrote:Found a BMW airflow sensor for the Jetta. The width of the opening is the same but it is about 1/2" taller. I have not read anywhere that you have to. From the info that I have found on the internet it is plug and play. Ill continue to do more research though.

Re: My MK2 Jetta daily driver project.
So.....It looks like the jetta is going to VW heaven. Some of the tar boards on the floor were cracking and coming off so i peeled those spots back and found that there was some crushed areas. I started measuring between stuff and lets just say the I have 1/2 more vertical trunk space on one side. The pass(rear) side strut tower is 1/4 further back that the drivers. The pass side of the car(measuring door openings) is 1/4 shorter. There is a bunch more too. So long Jetta you've been a learning experience. I'm picking up Matt's MK2 golf and moving all the new parts I bought to it. Everything from the Jetta is up for sale, make an offer.
