Put on the BFI Stage 1 dogbone bushings, changed the tranny fluid to Pennzoil Syncromesh, and realigned my shifter. Fixed the door trunk switch and a couple of rattles in my drivers door. Put on my BFI stubby antenna.

A little - I notice it's a bit smoother. Much smoother on cold shifts...I did get a little grind out of second today, but it was still cold. When it's warm it's really smooth. I'll be able to tell in a week or so if it made a significant difference, but initially yes I think your advice on that fluid is spot on.

I installed my aux cable for my MP3 player. Why install? well, got tired of the cable running from the far right side of the glove box where the jack is. I had to take apart the center dash, head unit, climatronic, shifter skirt...just to get it to pass through to the center console. Took about an hour and a half. Next up is the same thing on the wife's Jetta. Should only take about an hour 2nd time around. Oh - and installing my garage door opener into the center console behind a factory button.

I washed my GLI, it is so cold here the only thing I can do is hope the doors don't freeze shut. Hey Mike where did you get your stubby antenna. I have wanted one for my GLI, but can't find any.
