any suggestions for a roll on undercoat/sound deadenor? I want to go roll/brush on so i can better control the thickness of how its applied. If figure if i was to use spray when doing the wheels wells and strut towers it would be a huge PIA to control the thickness in those crucial areas..... so any recommendations? Ive read bad stuff on gator guard. I dont want to use the POR 15 top coat or chassis black because it has no sound deadening benefits. Im kinda leaning toward the eastwood stuff. All the 3m stuff ive found is spray

The only thing that I don't know is how durable and protective LizardSkin is to areas like wheel wells etc. that get pounded by dirt and road debris. I have a feeling it's not meant for undercarriage protection, just sound deadening.

I've seen the guys on Horsepower and Musclecar use it on their projects and it seems like a super durable and easy to apply product. I'll play devils advocate here, but I think the best way to apply it would be to spray it on, and really, all you need is a compressor and the spray gun kit. Also, I think it's actually easier to control thickness with a spray gun...a roller doesn't always get into the crevices and uneven areas, then you need a brush to go into those areas, which is thinner than a rolled on area etc, and you want this stuff to be pretty thick and look consistent - you can't get a consistent look with a brush. Spray it once (or twice) and be done. It's a little larger investment, but its cheaper than paying for someone to spray it for you, so it pays off in the end.

You may want to do a two stage setup with a bedliner/rhino lining undercarriage protective spray on the outside, and spray a sound deadener on the inside or use a mat type sound deadener in the cabin.

I was planning on doing this Thankfully i do have access to an air compresser where i am doin the build. So we ll see. I might go down and just blow twenty or thirty bucks on a couple different types of rattle can stuff. NCS really needs some test samples out. Thanks mikey... next suggestions!!!!

POW here i am, i have not used, but ive heard wonderful things about the eastwood stuff, i know Evercoat has a nice brushable seam sealer, easy to spot it has a black can and a corvette on the front of it, ive used it extensively and its is nice for doing pinch welds and seams, but it wouldnt be good for doing whole floors, im sure they have a product for that. whatever you find chime it back in, and then well all know!

put another 4-5 hours in today. bay is half way done. hopefully floor pans complete by sunday night. even more exciting news for myself is I bought the one part that has been crazy to track down....
