Drove it home to Kalispell this afternoon.

All I can say is SICK, SICK, SICK, SICK!

Ran great, everything worked, engine is unreal, sounds sweet, pulls hard, then goes into a whole different realm around 4500 rpm. Sounds like no VW I've ever heard and really pulls.

Big thanks to Aeron for getting this done.

AWESOME!!! Great to hear it. I don't think I ever got it that high in the RPMs for too long, but I could tell when the cams were starting to come on, and you could tell it wanted to keep pulling.

I am glad that everything went well on the ride up, and I bet Sean is jealous right about now!!

I have to say that I am going to miss it a little bit. I has always been there to greet me in the morning, and I always said goodbye at night. I might not know what to do with myself in the morning when I get there.......

I am really glad that I got to drive it a little bit, it makes me really want to get my valver up and running now.

And thanks for your confidence in me, even though we had never met face to face, I really had fun with it, and I am glad you are happy. Have a good rest of the trip on this side of the counrty, and I will try to get some pics up soon. Better late than never!

Didn't do much high RPM action. Just some 3-5k pulls in 5th, very addictive.

Dropped it off to get mixture set yesterday. Hopefully they get it done quick as Sean got the turbo running last night. Feels like it's going to pull pretty good, but he shut it down early as it started to ping at 4500 rpm under boost.

Was home in MT last week and got to mess around with the car a little, very little really as the week was busy.

Celtic Motors in Kalispell made some adjustments to the mixture and idle. Unfortunately the front and rear eurobumps got crunched while it was there.... US bumps for the street from now on.

Problems- Car starts on the first crank when cold. Won't idle at all when cold, but settles into a lumpy 950 idle when warmed up. It won't settle back into idle when letting off the gas after warmed up, it bounces down to zero then if it doesn't stall comes up to 950. I didn't have any time to mess with it but my first guess is ISV. It's about the only thing not new on the CIS-E.
No brakes, leaking fluid from rt rear. I replaced the rear lines so hopefully something wasn't tight. I didn't get to pull the wheel and take a look. Bottomed out the pedal a few times so the MC may be toast as well.

Did a few short drives around the neighborhood and had a blast, even with e-brake only. Then got it tucked away in the storeage unit.
The car needs some fine tuning after all the work that has been done. Then some use to get everthing dialed. Hopefully we'll be back in the spring permanetly so it can get some use next summer.

Glad that you at least got some more seat time in it, but how did they mess up your bumpers??!! that sucks big time!! Are you thinking that you will be moving back in the spring?

Wife is done with school in Febuary and the hospitals in the Flathead are hiring, so I'm hoping it will work out.

Looks like it got backed into in the front then pushed into something taking out the rear. Shop paid for a new aftermarket set. Kind of a bummer as mine were OEM...
