Could have been much worse, though pulling the head on that motor is far from an easy project. Looks like you should be able to reseat a new valve and you'll be good. All the new seals are a bit spendy though.

the way the carbon is missing from the valves looks like you have some nice detonation going on.

you on the ball ramrod lol. an yes seals arnt cheap. but thats what has to be done. i think i am goin to order a kit. since thats the cheaper rought. but dont konw yet all i realy need is a exhaust manaflod, head,and exhast head to exhast piping gaskets. valve cover gasket is easyly reuseable. the valve is pretty cheap for the most part. i did find a whole assembled head of a A6 with a 2.8l here in GF but i dont konw if they will match up... pondering time....

well the fun begins lol

well the problem is out. the blac that is on the valve where the brake is is from driving it around or going though diag procces before i took off the head.

an the new one is in an seated

nothing the cylinder wall is just fine. not even the top of the pistion got touched. thankfully
