I was gonna go to the dealership and grab some spark plugs from them, but they want $18ish bucks a plug for them. What do you guys run/use? And how often do u change them?

I use the OEM NGK's right now. I've had good fortune with the Beru plugs on my Passat though too. I'd just go OEM. Keeps things easy. Find out what you're running and buy them at Checker or something though.

Alternatively, you can just do what I do and buy them through ECS  Click Me

For a chipped 1.8t, use NGK BKR7E. Available at many auto part stores. Usually less than $4 each. Gap to .028".

I bought NGK BKR6E's, horrific outcome... A lot of misfires, poor hp and mpg. Might just get the stock OEM NGK PFR6Q's, did some research you only wanna leave stock Spark plugs once u go BT. Which isn't really my plan.

Odd, did you gap them properly? You are chipped right? Old rule of thumb is for every 50-100hp over stock, go one range cooler. I have ran them and they worked just like OEM, but a little smoother up top.

So I pulled my spark plugs today and the first one was covered in this black semi hard goo.... Dunno how else to explain it. They came out pretty easily meaning I didn't tighten them enough. Regardless I tossed them and threw in the OEM spec ones (PFR6Q). Buying two sets of spark plugs from a store came to the same price had I gotten one set at the dealership.

BTW the car runs very well.... almost too well lol.

Glad you got it sorted, now go change your valve cover gasket. ;)
