My mom drives a red 99 Beetle. There we go, first NB post! And even one with a poll, no less!

The Turbo Beetle S was my first exposure to the "new" VWs. I had an A2 16v GTI at the time and had no interest in the A4s. A test drive in the NBS swayed me quite a bit. I don't think I would own one personally, mostly because a Golf just has more room for passengers and stuff, but I think they are cool.
I do think the recent "facelift" was too mild and subtle, the Beetle needs a more radical redesign to keep it fresh.

All I see for Beetles around here are women and they all have custom license plates i.e. "Ladybug" and I see flowers in the flower holder when I pass them. Can't stand em. However show me a cool turbo beetle and I can appreciate that.

"my confesion" i have a fake plush flower in my rabbit, i like it, its nostalgic to me, i used to sell em to the germans for 20 euro about 25 bucks when it cost me 12 to get em

I just can't feel cool in a new beetle. But I will make a confession, they are like go karts and are a kick to drive.
