Found a small coolant drip sounds like good enough reason to get these babies.I know that you need to use shielded stainless clamps on these. anyone ever put a set on? any tips? Thanks

i no arin (renwagen) has a set in the jetta he might be able to help but i think you just take the old ones off and put the new ones on

Yeah, I have a red set, and they are pimptastic. Super easy to swap out, and I honestly can't remember if they came with new clamps or not. If they didn't i just used my factory clamps, and I have not had any problems for years. They fit great, and look schweet! This would also be a good time to change your thermo housing, fan switch thermo, etc, as the cooling system will be pretty much drained all over the floor.

I was gonna replace that stuff, good point. You know that housing will crack if you don't or the termostat will go out....just murphy's law. haha

Yeah like my water pump went out the sunday after we met on the way out of Billings! I had replaced everything but that and the radiator, go figure. Thanks again Mike1

i have yellew ones on my jetta. some r hard to get to but look alot nicer
