Hey guys, I figured I would show everyone what Josh (Darkside) and I have been up to this past week.
Besides moving my grandmother - Building a sub box =))
It is important to note, that while I did help with the sub box. All that that included was picking up the wood as Josh cut it, and paying for the materials.
So props to Josh for his quality craftsmanship.

Here are some photos of it finished. It sounds so much better, still distorts a bit, but I am not sure what that is.. The box is the exact specification that Alpine wanted.

Also - For those of you who enjoy photos, I took some the other day, did not do really any thinking, but some of the photos turned out pretty cool. I am going to submit one of them into the competition, but I am not sure which one yet..
We will see - any input is appreciated =)

I like the first two car pics. I really like the tire tracks on the second one. Everyone should slide in to position for pictures. haha
The party was fun, thanks for teaching me how to talk to women:)

I finally got my winter tires in, based upon your guys suggestions!!

WOW, I was retarded to assume that snow tires would not help all that much.

Box looks good, but you need to do something about your wiring, c'mon man! All that work is destroyed by the rats that moved into your trunk and wired your amp for you! Anyway, where are your crossover points set at on the sub? It sound like you may ahve the correct space, but may have the x-over points adjusted wrong. check that and your gain first, amplifiers do not like running "wide open", so turn your gain down a bit from full, that may help also. You need some dynamic haeadroom for them to work properly, that may be causing "clipping" which you may confuse for distortion.

We are gonna hide some wires, I was already giving Grant (Dubber) a hard time. I did turn the gain down but, I am not clear on how to properly adjust everything because it is hooked up differently. There is a box thingy that is hooked to the rear channel of the factory amp and has rca outs of the sub amp? I only know enough to get myself into trouble.....But I tried to help and it did get much better. Thanks for your help I'm sure we will get it figured out, but we may have more questions.

If you want to do that system right, get an O-Scope and you can adjust everything so it doesnt clip (i dont want to get into detail, its still early morning) but look up O-Scope on youtube and there are some tutorials on adjusting everything. Works great..
