Need your opinions.

So, what do you guys think of a 1999 Audi A4 Avant with a 1.8T.

It's a manual, with 149k, and it seriously looks like it just rolled off the show room floor.

Will it be a reliability nightmare/1.8T sludge disaster?

Nah, haven't talked to the person yet. So far I am reading though they are a mechanics best friend....

Yes it's local, and it is blue. And no it does not have a Thule rack.

Coilpacks, O2 sensors and TB kits. Study up and buy Vag-Com if you don't have it yet. So far my B6 has been awesome.

Ill bet it will need cam adjuster seals (easy) and a t-belt shortly other than that, maybe a turbo in its near future?

Should be just fine. Especially if it was well taken care of and you plan to take care of it. I've got a buddy just rolled over 200K on his B5 sedan same specs and he's K04'd. With the exception of my A/C compressor, my B6 is solid.

My B5 Passat was solid-er than any other care I've had.
