Intercooler Questions

Alright - I have been feeling the itch to buy an intercooler for a while now. One has crossed my path and its a great deal (i think)
It is a EuroJet Race intercooler including the piping but not the rebar for 300 + shipping.
First off, I wanted to get some feedback from some of the guys on the forum as to how hard this will be to install. I have looked all over and it seems like i will need to cut some things, but over all it should fit very well.
I will have to decide as to whether I will try to source the rebar, or just do it without.
The FMIC is bent slightly in the corner, but not broken.
In order to protect myself from fraud I am purchasing this through PayPal. In my understanding, if something is sent to me through this service and its not what I was told it was I will be refunded.
Once I find out how much shipping is, I will be purchasing this.
Does anyone have any insight or opinions on any of this?
Furthermore, is anyone interested in helping me put this in =)
Thanks

I use paypal all the time for most paintball stuff its legit. It helps cover fraud and what not. My mom really digs it cause it pulls from a debit card or bank account. Also if you purchase through ebay and the seller uses usps you have tracking included in it. Hope that helps. If you have anyother questions about paypal. Pm me.

Hmm - This is the first I have heard of this - I am looking into it extensively. Anyone have any ideas concerning ATWICs?

So I have looked around a lot for the past hour or so - sounds like the AWIC is good for track and things of that nature, but for daily driving and such, it pretty much does not do the job.. ? any input on this?
also - how cool would it be to run nitrogen in one of these =) it would eventually heat up i know and bust all of the pipes, but untill then! supar boost

Just get a standard FMIC, you'll be fine. But you will need to fab some kind of support on the front rebar. You aren't getting any performance out of a FM vs. your SM, just preventing heat soak and increasingly warm intake temps.

With your stock bumper cover you will probably end up cutting some of it, although I don't know the dimensions of the FMIC tank and how, or if it has enough clearance. Do some more research and see if anyone else has one installed.

What's this FMIC out of?

I have done two Neuspeed FMICs, and they fit very well. there is minimal trimming needed on the fiberglass lower rad support and that is it. Make sure you get one meant for a GTI!!

I would still go with air water... less boost loss over a large front mount.

Well - I bit the bullet and bought the EuroJet Race Intercooler with all connecting pipes, also i purchased a true CAI, made by Injen- seems to be a good brand - gets good numbers, hopefully ill be happy with it. we will see.
Anyone interested in doing another garage day and helping me put these items on my car??
I would appreciate it a lot =)
Thanks
