So i just got back from MN, I drove back with a friend and when he was driving he hit a large ice chunk which tore my side exit pipe off. I thought that was the only damage...Just woke up this morning to a huge pool of OIL under my car. Theres a decent size crack in the corner closest to the plug. I called the dealership and they want 233 for an oil pan...Im thinking of doing it myself at a friends shop. Anyone have any insight? I've got to get this pile rolling again so I can work.
Brandon if I was to get the dealership to work on it when could I be back out driving it?

I would think that would be a pretty straight forward project, although some of the bolts may be a b@#%$ to get to.
Maybe you should get one of these?

Yea joe a Minnesotan on Vortex offered me the same pan for 150$ and i may have a friend back home drive it out here when he visits.
Well I think now that I killed an oil pan, lost my abs, killed my catalytic converter, torn off my side exit, and got my front bumper wrecked things may start to go right for a change...[furiously knocking on everything wood in my room]
Oh and heres a couple photos of the accident that I never posted.

As far as I am concerned it is rocket science

. Anything with internals or the block I am clueless on. I'll leave it to the pros like you. Kenny just called me and said its gunna be 540$ and they need to overnight a pan for another 60$

. Did you take a look at it today? I hope they dont throw it away i want to hang it in my garage as a keep sake.

Here:
1-206-782-6410...ask for dylan and dylan ONLY!!!!! tell him chris in spokane sent you.
1-209-763-2487 ask for Jerry...not really for parts but builds motors all day.
and if the pan took a hit bad enough to dent it, hope to god it didn't crack the pickup for the oil pump.
Pans are easy, and so is the pump.

i took a better look at it today, seems like very minimal damage, i like the exhaust setup you got, my rabbit the same way

s, if they cant get it done by sunday, thats bull, its been in the air on a lift for 2 days now, and no progress, if its not done, just get the parts and tell them to shove it, i will do it after hours if you would like i got nothin but time these days...
