How goes it?
So unfortunately I'm short on funds, and I'm not able to afford to replace the motor thats in my Golf. The body of the car is in perfect shape. 4-door. Body has 155,000 miles on it. Car has all power options (windows/mirrors/doorlocks), sunroof, A/C, cruise control, and manual transmission. Needs a new block (engine). Everything else is in perfect working condition.
At this point, its easier for me to just sell the car. Looking @ $3500 or best offer.
So if interested or know anyone that is, please call 253-797-4169. This would be the perfect solution for someone that may have a wrecked shell that still has a good motor.
Here are a couple pictures of the car:
Thanx for the help

Welcome to the site! It would be nice to have some more info on the car. How was it diagnosed as a bad block? What happened when it failed? Did the timing belt break?

^^ Agreed...kbb lists 3,700 - 4,800 fair to excellent...and their guidelines = running engine.
Anyways, nice car besides that fact....
Someone should buy this and swap front ends with me.

LOL, so okay...
I'll just be honest and say that im trying to help a friend out with selling his car.... and he doesn't have a clue on how to work the web forums.
Anyway, what happened was originally the head had been replaced because the timing belt blew 2 thousand miles after the recommended replacement date. And then this last incident was that he lent the car to a buddy of his. Long story short.... the buddy got shit-faced, passed out, and a couple of girls took the car for a joy-ride and managed to screw up the lower half of the motor. The buddy was then going to pay for the repairs, but it currently sitting a jail-cell for some unknown reason. Its one of those points where he'd just rather get rid of the car instead of trying to fix it again.
So yeah, i probably should have asked him to double check the pricing of it before i posted originally. I'm currently working and using the demo laptop that is a complete piecer, and KBB isn't working right, so I'll have to investigate later on when i get to a real computer. I did list o.b.o. on there, so i guess that if you do the research and reply with a good price, he'll probably take it.

Cool, thanks for the input. I'll run it across him and see what he has to say. LOL, I guess it'll all depend on how bad he wants to get rid of it, huh?

So is it safe to say it doesn't run?

That is correct. Transmission and the head are still good according to the mechanic that was working on the car. Just needs a new block.
