Big Sky Euro

well, my last Subaru just wasn't enough.. so im back for more

this little 1981 Subaru DL Hardtop started life as just that. a 1600cc 2wd econo-box built for fuel mileage. The original owner is a good friend of mine's parents, It was purchased new here at Placer Motors on May 15th, 1982. It lived 6 years in UT in the mid/late 80's, then moved back to Helena. since then it has done alot of sitting, only getting driven when needed (ie when there honda was in for repairs).

Up untill very recent it has been an all original early subaru that was babied is entire life. now that its in my hands thou it all has changed . I very promptly (within 1 week of ownership) swapped out all the 2wd running gear for 4wd gear, and severely molested the stock Hitachi carb and deleted all emissions garbage..

ill update this tread with more pictures once i manage to get my actual digi cam to work again, but here are some cell pics to hold you all over for now.

Looks like you have some decent trails up there!
Maybe you need to put some beefier tires on and some beedlocks!
Are those trails open to motorized traffic or are they illegal like most of the friggin state?

Yes they are perfectly legal trails to 4x4 on . they suck thou very little technical stuff that can actually stop the scooby...
