well i picked this up today.. traded my 83 subi wagon for her.. needs some work, dosnt run and has some body damage.. but eather way it will be the new summer daily driver..

yea it came from greatfalls.. i cant seem to find the old CL posting, i think i remember the OG posting said the timing belt broke.. i hope thats not the case as the timing belt on it is good...

not yet just got it home.. a general inspection shows the lack of timing belt covers.. i also started by turning it by hand. just to make sure the cam still rotated with the crank.. it did so i put power to it, it turned over and backfired once.. something just dosnt sound right with it building compression.. so yea a compression test is in order..

if i remember right, it broke, he put another on it, you need a head probably for sure, looks like a nice find. where the hell you been rats!

Kev I have a 16v head that may work for you - it was to replace the bad one on my B3, but it blew up before I could swap it. I have no idea on the condition other than it looks fine, and the seller (vortex) said it was good. It's yours if you can pick it up or arrange transport, I don't want to ship it.

I've been stuck dealing with an emotionally unstable pregnant girlfriend...

i might have to take you up on that offer Mike. ill have to figure out a way down to billings thou.. Any body in bozo or billings make frequent trips between bozo and billings?

kev, i might be able to help you. my GF travels from helena to billings on the regular (every weekend) i might be able to arange transport.
