Looks very straight and clean - I love it. And with only 60k is pretty rare these days. My '86 had just under 90k when I bought it.
However, about the turbo idea: I too planned on doing this, until I had just about every other 944 owner frantically telling me not to do so. They told me that it would end up costing more than the actual car to do this (due to so many differences in the engine, suspension, airflow, etc between the 944 NA and Turbo), and it would be better (and cheaper) to just by a 944 Turbo. I resisted the idea of giving up on installing a turbo for awhile after that, but after reading numerous other Porsche forums and DIY articles, I conceded defeat. Don't let me kill your dream though, and please keep me up-to-date if you do go through with this.

ya ive had a lot of porsche purests freak when they hear that too but when it comes right down to it, its a 4cylinder, and how many civics, imprezas, and ricers are out there that somebody put the mony into turboing... I think its more than worth it w/the porsche. im guna start tearin into it soon to some engine work, port n polish.. We'll see tho. i do hafta look into how much parts cost on the other hand. Theres not much for aftermarket w/these things. In the mean time it drives like a dream and its a ton of fun!
