well since i sold the luv i had to pick something up for a new driver.. after much consideration i decided that a obd1 mk3 2.0 would be the best car for the task. good driver for now and even better parts car for later

its a 94, 5 speed, 166k, leaks coolant



i've had it for a day and ive already done:

plugs
cap refresh
rotor refresh
front motor mount
new vac lines

bet its running alot better an a good gas saver\...

yea i got it started Trev.. i jumped the starter with a wire and it fired right up.. i then figured out the lock trick with the locking then unlocking the door (now that i have the og keys). I hate immobilizers .. it still runs a little funky but im sure ill figure it out. after all i do have a mk3 bible..

so since this is my first mk3.. im gonna need some advise.. my questions are:

were is my DTC port? car was built 4/94
my bentley says i have a CEL in the dash.. mine however isnt on... is that normal? me literally ->
what can i do with this "motronic" fuel system? whats it take to make it boost worthy? or is it?

Connector is to the right of the ash tray.

C2 motorsports makes a turbo tune for it, i think its only a 330 CC file tho should be able to pump 200 or so.

Is your old jetta still kickin around? still have yet to see it running around.

there is a panel up and to the right from the ash tray, it un-clips with your fingers.
