I bought a 81 rabbit over the winter and have wanted to do an ABA swap. Its finally getting warmer.... well somewhat, and I would like to get started on it. Looking for something with some miles left in it. I'd rather not put it in and have to tear it apart in a year. Only have a few problems so far. 1: I have no ABA swap. 2: I'm going to need a new pedal cluster to go from auto to manual?

I guess I could also move this to projects once I find more parts. Wonder if I could have it done by YNP?!!

The tan car would be the one. Its in pretty decent shape and my friends dad sold it originally in 81 from the dealership. Red car will be for sale or trade after or for the swap also.

You will need alot more than a pedal cluster, youll need all the linkages a steering rack from a manual car the mounts are different, you need a parts car, two of them

Well if thats what it takes! Its actually in pretty good shape so I think its worth it.

run it the way it is. it will have that orignal smell too it longer

But I would actually like to drive it on the highway for an extended period of time around 80 without killing it, and getting terrible gas mileage.
