Help in Arlee with Diesel Rabbit

After 2 years of health problems and everything else, I'm down to installing my a/c compressor and alternator. I don't remember how they go, and I need to get this car running in a hurry now. Anyone local to Missoula willing to make a drive up here? I'll make it worth your while, and if you have what it takes to time the injection pump, I'll especially make it worth your while. Thanks in advance.

Man, I wish I could help, but I know nothing about those diesel bunnies.....what manual are you using? A bently should be able to tell you everything you need. I have an extra Mk1 Bentley, but I am not sure if it covers diesel, I can check though....

Have the Bently, Haynes, and Chilton's, none of them cover an A/C unit in a Rabbit diesel. But I'll keep trying. Thanks for the input, though.

Anyone? Case of beer of your choice, steak dinner, (on the grill,) and $20 for the fuel it takes you to drive to Arlee...I'm desperate!!!! My wife runs rodeo and I'm stuck here all weekend if I don't get this thing going...

Wish I were closer, I'd help out. Do you need a diagram or anything?

What exactly needs to be done? If it's simply bolting up an alternator and ac compressor I may possibly be able to run up there and help. I have no idea about the timing the injection pump though. I wouldn't be able to head up there till after 4pm on Saturday though as I have to work.
