Yup, you can do that, or you can start searching for some cheap piston sets. You can find them out there. My buddy in Seattle found some for $85.00!! Brand new 2.0 16V pistons, rings, pins and clips in the set and less than $100!! Just start searching.......

I got a set of JE 83.5 pistons w/rings and pins from DRS for $615.

On a related note, they are also building my motor. Found a core down there to use, so my 2.0 short block is available, also have a complete gasket kit I got from TT.

2.0 16V Short block?? Are there rotating parts in it, or is it just the block? I am specifically looking for pistons and 92.8mm crankshaft. If this is the case, LMK, I want it. Dibs!

Includes rotating assembly.

All the external stuff has been removed, block was cleaned and painted. Didn't touch the internals.

The only pisser is a broken waterpump bolt. It left a couple threads sticking out though.

One other note: I cleaned up the pistons with the softest scuff pad. The first one I got a little aggressive with and rolled the edge of one of the valve relief cut outs. Shouldn't be an issue, but want to disclose everything.

What are you looking to get for it? And what color did you paint it? (cause this is really going to make or break the deal..... :unibrow: )

To the best of your knowledge, this one has a 92.8MM crankshaft in it?
