One-off custom Rabbit stress bars!

If anyone is interested I designed and fabbed up a lower front Control arm bar(same idea as the Scirocco K-bar) and an upper rear strut tower bar for Rabbits. I can make them up pretty easily. They are custom fit to each car, so I would need the car at my shop, but I can guarantee that none will fit better! Anyway, if anyone is interested, you would be looking at a cost of $40-50 (parts & labor)on the bars. If you plan on hitting crubs in the winter, the lower one is a great investment, that way you can just bend the control arm(+/- $20) rather than bend the whole front side of the car! I will get some pics up soon, I just thought I would throw it up there. I am going to work on triangulated rear stress bars this year also. Later!

I have done MK1 dash swaps before, the wiring is pretty easy, if you have a good manual, and the hardest part is getting the dash trimmed and the bracketry made. I do the wiring, I leave the hard stuff to the other guys!

i actually like the look of the dash tho, so i figured i would give it a go and DIM "do it myself" and see how it goes, if its fugly i will put the old one back in and do the wiring

heck i gotta come up and get a junkyard shifter fo da rabbit anyways, so i might come up sooner than expected, im sick of using the vice grip. except it kinda feels like using a pistol grip for a shifter

What shifter parts do you need? I think I have a rabbit shifter stalk in my garage.....Junkyard runs are fun anyway, I never pass up a JY run
