oof, first clean the tank of what is no doubt, dirty diesel, new fuel filter and fuel. check the injection pump for leaks, this is probably the issue, make sure the t-belt is there, and in time!

tank drained, new filter, and a bad glow plug replaced! But i cannot get all of it out i even tried tipping it with my jack but there is still a bunch of nasty looking diesel in there. Is there a good way to clean the tank?? just gotta charge the battery and then i can see what the IP is doing...

unfortunately, the best way to do it is to drop the tank out which is pretty labor intensive, and for one drain it completely, then slosh a shit load of bb's around in the tank, they are like little scrubbing bubbles

also when there, make sure the baffle underneath the fuel level sender is in tact, otherwise the car will cut out in right hand corners with lower fuel levels. do you have a bentley for a diesel rabbit? if not swing out, i think mine covers diesel rabbits in your year range, not positive though!
