My buddy and I dragged the Peanut over to my place Friday. The car is named Peanut. It is getting that motor we pulled last week plus a good once over and service. The car has been sitting for a couple years.

Is that a RWD Tercel? I have always had a soft spot for those for some reason. Or... Is it the Starlets that were RWD?
BTW, that engine is gross. :)

Ya, I cant find where it is not leaking oil from  . This car is FWD. The motor came out of a 4WD SR5. It has 62 hp instead of the 57 hp that the current motor has.

Summer has been too fun, I've been slacking. The motor is almost ready to go in. Resealed, rebuilt water pump, manifold swap, swapped the best parts from the two and decent cleaning.

I had the Peanut up and running for months, I just have not been online much. It ran, but inconsistently. I kept stripping emissions stuff but, it was so tied into the carb I couldnt get to much of it off(the carb had 4 vacuum servos, a dozen adjustment screws, and around 20' of vacuum line). I rebuilt it and very little change. Then I checked the oil one day and there was gas in it. Fuel pump was not leaking, checked the float bowl level for the forth time, looked online and talked to some folk that have worked on them before. These carbs are junk when they are old and it doesnt matter if they are rebuilt or not. So I put a weber conversion on it. Runs and drives great now. It is not getting the mileage it should, I have to re-jet it. The weber is nice, only two adjustment screws. And I built an aluminum roof rack for it too.
