Sunroof parts

Hey guys out there, im in desperate need of the mechanical parts for my sunroof I have a 1994 passat glx and i dont wanna fork out 1200 for the sunroof mechanism. Im not sure what other makes and models will fit, so a little advice would go a long way. And maybe if someone knows where to find one id be willing to come get it.
