so i broke down and did my timing chains on my mk3 vr6.... fml. i pulled it all apart and relized that i had ordered the wrong upper chain set up :banghead: i didnt want to put my tranny back in just to have to pull it apart the next week so i left it apart and waited for the right chains to show up

so i was sitting in front of all my parts i had just taken off. they were a little dirty so i cleaned them up and thought to my self i can do better than this and reember that i had a sand blaster. so i spent an after noon sand blasting. everything looked sooooo clean but the right chains still werent here so i decided to paint a few parts

a few years ago i painted my tranny

bright green... what was i thinking????

so i fixed that too

then my chains showed up and i put it all back to gether.... i never want to pull my tranny again i fought it for four hours before i could get it to set right :banghead: :banghead: i dont think i have ever hated my car as much as i did at that point. but i got her all back in and good and sutff. started it up and o my a vr sound soooooo good without the chains rattling  and this is how it all sits now

:unibrow: :unibrow: :unibrow:
im thinking next week im going to relocate the battery, bypass the throttle body coolant lines, and maybe pull the hvac and cluster and throw in some leds.

a few updates for the mk3 from the past few months. I bought a vr lip for it the other day, i didnt put it on yet because it snowed like two feet the day after i got it... i would have been rollin snow plow status

led cluster and switches!! i think if matches my deck pretty well

draft 42 any one? got all that dumb SAI stuff out of the way

not really for my gti but i was doing timing chains on a vr6 and really didnt want to do it one the ground so i made me an engine stand.
