NOOB QUESTION

I love the thing, I really don't think I would enjoy my car as much without it.
:?: What exactly can you do with a VAG COM besides clear CELs and look at error codes. I have only thrown a CEL once because I forgot to hook the wiring harness to the MAF sensor after installing my CAI. It went away after like 15 mins when I figured out what I had done. You cant reprogram anything with VAG COM can you?

Let's see, I turned off the annoying auto-lock that locks the doors when the car starts moving, I turned off the annoying seatbelt chime, I changed the codeing so both doors unlock with one press on the key fob, I changed the code so that the horn doesn't honk when locking the doors.
I turn off the low windshield washer warning in the summer when I don't have fluid in the bottle. When I switch to track brake pads I turn off the brake pad warning otherwise it would be on all the time since the track pads don't have wear sensors.
VAG-COM will log every sensor the car has, so I can set up a log to record speed, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, along with steering angle, which does more than one of those G-Tech pros does.
Oh and one other benefit I never would have predicted. My car has Climatronic, and one of the air flaps started "ticking" shortly after getting the car, turns out it was out of calibration, so I can calibrate it with the VAG-COM, and no more annoying ticking.

WOW

That is some great stuff!
I really want one but I would probably reprogram something wrong and my car would explode.
:?: Can you turn off the exhaust sensors?

That seatbelt chime drives me up the wall.
When I get back to Montana I will pay you $$$ to turn that stuff off for me.

Consider it done. When I get to Missoula I will stop by Big Sky Brewery and pick up a few growlers of Moose Drool and head up to Bozo. Should be a good time.

Im not sure if my car has climatronic, but it often makes a "ticking" noise when the air is on...kind of like something is rocking back and forth hitting something else.
I may need to kit you up for a VAGing sometime this year, if thats alright.
