Hello fellow dub lovers! First time threader, long time reader. Now since I was a kid I have always wanted a two door red mk3 and I finally found one. I picked this baby up for a mere $575. I just had to put a clutch in it and it was good to go... sort of. My reverse is going out so I'm gonna need a tranny eventually, but she runs great. It even came with a techtonics tuning chip, and sport springs. Speedo doesn't work, it needs front bearings quite badly, power locks don't work, nothing but the wiper works in the rear hatch, and there are a few other minor fixes here and there, but overall quite a nice ride. I have done a bit of work with mk2's, and this is much the same story. This is only my second vw because i'm picky and have been waiting for something exactly like this. No performance upgrades on the agenda for now, as I'm gonna focus on just getting it in good stock working condition. Though if anyone knows about a used obd1 neuspeed charger kit give me a holler.

Beautiful Uptown Butte!

Yeah speaking of uptown butte, are there any vw or audi guys here in town? I've seen a few mk3 vr's and only a few old audi's driving around. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Yeah and kevin, aka t53a, is in h-town too. Butte is more of a subaru wrx kinda town, but thats fine. I'll give em something to compete with... someday. My 87 5000cs is pretty damn quick, but no match for the wrx's.

Thanks, she's a beauty for what she is. I was the first person in Butte to get those plates too. However a red lowered golf with black wheels, black rear hatch, and unique plates makes me stand out like a sore thumb to the cops. But thank god for the 2.slow And yeah, that was my first audi. Its all screwed up now, poor 5k. And no worries staggeredmk4 I am from helena so you're partially right.
