Ok, so anyone want to give me a brief rundown on the breaking system of mkiv's? Basicly, I have 3 out of 4 disc's that show wear from breaking action...i assume all 4 are used by the abs system. (rears are not just parking brake)

My passenger rear disc is rusted all over the face...ie no wear from braking action...

Stuck slide pins/crapped out caliper? Can the calipers be refreshed/rebuilt? Easy to do, or just buy new?

sounds like the caliber piston is stuck or rusted shut. yes they can be rebuilt but a pain to do. eayser to buy a new one an bleed the brakes from there.
