Well, as a lot of you know, maybe some of you don't, I am picking up a 63 Bug here shortly that I have already put a deposit down on. The H20 project has to go.
I need the money more than I need the project at this point so here goes.
Let the Jason bashing begin! lol :finger:

Up for sale......
1983 GTI that has no motor.
Currently the car is stripped to a rolling chassis. I'll post pix soon.
Also currently all the glass is out of the car as well as the doors and hatch.
I have all the glass except the windshield.
This GTI is SUPER STRAIGHT with exception to the rear end has some minor damage that can likely be easily pulled out.
The car basically has zero rust. There had been a little surface rust in the windshield frame that I ground down and primer'd. It's got the red cloth seats that are in practically mint shape. Has headliner and door panels as well.
The car does have a roll cage welded in and therefore has no rear seat nor rear interior.
I originally was going to convert it to a euro front end so I have a new euro core support, new euro crosshairs, new euro grill but do NOT have the euro fenders. The original core support has already been removed.
The car is sitting on a set of light weight 15" wheels with very good tread.
Also included is a MKII GTI dash that was going to be installed.
Has Momo steering wheel and shifter.
I have a lot of misc 16v engine parts that will be included as well. Original plan was to do a 16vABA so I have some of the needed conversion parts.
16v head and ABA block are NOT included.
I am sure I am forgetting tons of stuff because I have boxes of shit for this car.
I am sure someday down the road i'll regret getting rid of it like a lot of my other many cars/trucks/Jeeps etc but for now I need the money more so I can pay off my new air cooled venture
H20 Vdubs come around way more often than the bad ass 63 i'll hope to be picking up within the month.
I'll try to post up some current pix within the next couple of days but most of you already know what it looks like from some of my other threads.
Let me know if interested or have any questions.
Hoping to get $500 for it. I know it's a project but it's worth at least that in parts value.
If I can't get $500 I may just keep her.
I am giving Cory first dibs at this as he did state he'd be interested in it if I got all the doors n shit back on which I do plan on doing prior to sale.
Time to finish this chapter and turn the page to the next!

Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm not interested in parting it out simply because if I don't sell someday I'll end up putting together.

It's temporary.
I just don't have the time to build a car from the ground up anymore with 4 kids now.
That's why I bought a bug that is ready to enjoy.
Don't get me wrong, I miss wrenching And building but kids take precedent over that and I hate to have this GTI go to waste collecting dust and taking up space.
I'll likely get another MKI or MKII but it'll be mostly complete.
