FS: 1979 rabbit 1.6 petro. four door. cheap. needs to go

Howdy, Buddy at work bought this to fix up for his son. 3/4 way through, took it to the exhaust shop to have exhaust installed and it decided to hop off the bunny trail off the trailer and into something. Only body damage is core support. Car was planned to get a mayco respray, its primed and probably could be ready to be sprayed with a full days extra of prepping. Car ran, just hasnt been started again due to radiator damage it took.
The good....
BRAND NEW HEAD
. ARP head bolts
Brand new axles/cv joints
Brand new tires and powdercoated rims.
Immaculate interior. If i remember there was only one crack in the dash
No rust on strut towers or any other crazy rust problems that i remember. I was under car as well.
Still has all the original chrome trim, bumpers, lights.... inside of car now.
The bad....
Core support damage.
Needs to be painted.
For someone that wants a mk 1 project that could be up and rollin. this is yours.
he wanted around $750 to re coop his losses.... Told him $500 would get this thing movin. So it sits at $500. Motivated seller.
