Some of you may be familiar with the wyfe's car, but it's time for a formal introduction. 2003 GLI 24V VR6 6speed Sport Package Leather ESP. This car has been frikin awesome other than the clutch slave going out just after her warranty ran out. She bought this thing 5-ish years ago(???) with 70K. Since then she has piled on 105k and its now at 175k. Still runs great but is starting to show some wear. Wyfey now travels for work and has decided to keep this, so she will be piling even more miles on. Going to be pulling it apart in the spring for chains and other maintenance. ESP is no longer working so I need to find a module.

is the chain slapping yet? even though it has 175k on it, 24v's dont have as bad of problems with chain stretch (compared to 12v) if the car has had regular oil changes. But not a bad idea to do it. I just had my dual mass flywheel replaced with a single mass kit from TT. Might be worth looking into while your doing chains.

Chains are noisy on cold starts when it's sat for a day or more.

Got the ESP working again today! Replaced the g419 sensor with an eBay unit. It does the yaw and transverse acceleration sensing, found near steering column. :) Changed oil, fueled, and washed her too.
