I really have a sickness...... I've been driving past this a few times a day for the past week at the dealer by my work. Its been sitting out back in the mud with a little tear in its eye. Like a sucka, I stop to find out it's the mechanics special. Crap ton of miles and a Tiptronic with no reverse. Seems solid other than that and a nasty grumble/shake on acceleration. Feels like an axle. I'm hoping maybe it just needs a solenoid kit for the reverse.

I too suffer from the same illness. That GTI looks real nice and is probably a total score! I think Dietz in Billings has a 125k trans for $600 if it's not a solenoid problem.

I recently sold one with 90k for $200

Good looking car, are those 20th wheels?

I think the later GTI's came with a 17" version similar to the 20th wheels. I think that is what those are.
